When it comes to getting a view from the top in cybersecurity, there is perhaps no better person to turn to than Theresa Payton. A former banking industry executive, she rose to serve as the first female White House CIO, overseeing IT operations and security for President George W. Bush. Today, she leads Fortalice Solutions, a boutique cybersecurity and intelligence services firm, and is the author of highly-acclaimed book Manipulated: Inside the Cyberwar to Hijack Elections and Distort the Truth.
I sat down with Theresa on June 15 to get a briefing on the state of cybersecurity affairs today, similar to what she would deliver to the President of the United States, as well as discuss critical areas like artificial intelligence, information warfare and increasing gender diversity in the industry.
