NightDragon is a growth-stage investment and advisory firm focused on SecureTech, including cybersecurity, defense, public safety, and critical infrastructure. Role Overview

We are seeking a Program & Platform Engagement Associate to help design, manage, and scale the systems, processes, and engagement model that power NightDragon’s platform. This is a highly cross-functional role that sits at the center of the firm and combines platform operations, program management, data systems, and community engagement.

This role is critical to how NightDragon operates and scales. You will help modernize the firm’s platform in the era of AI — improving how we track value creation, engage with our network, and drive outcomes across portfolio companies and partners. You will play a key role in building a more connected, efficient, and insight-driven operating model for the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Systems and AI Enablement

  1. Support management of NightDragon’s core platform systems, including Affinity, Claude, Notion, and internal tracking tools
  2. Evolve and modernize existing tools and workflows, including upgrading legacy systems
  3. Identify and implement AI-enabled solutions to improve data capture, reporting, and workflow automation
  4. Build scalable, modern processes for tracking portfolio engagement, partner activity, and value creation outcomes

Value Creation, Program, and Partner Engagement

  1. Own the tracking, measurement, and reporting of platform activity across the firm
  2. Develop and deliver regular, dashboard-level readouts on portfolio engagement, partner interactions, special project that include impact metrics
  3. Support, manage, and track key portfolio and partner initiatives, including engagements with corporate strategics, channel partners, system integrators, MSSPs, technology partners, and government stakeholders
  4. Develop high-quality materials and presentations (e.g., partner briefings, portfolio updates, strategy decks) to support engagement, decision-making, and external communication
  5. Ensure data consistency and integrity across teams and translate activity into clear, actionable insights for internal leadership and LPs

Advisory Council and Community Leadership

  1. Own the operational function of the NightDragon advisory council end-to-end, including onboarding advisors and maintaining profiles, preferences, and engagement history across the firm and portfolio
  2. Drive ongoing engagement across the advisor network and broader community through communications, programming, and community-building efforts, including quarterly showcases, focus groups, targeted activations, and events
  3. Support thought leadership creation and promotion of community members, including on social, newsletter, and other formats
  4. Ensure the council remains an active, high-value, and differentiated asset for the firm and portfolio

Events, Network Operations, and Platform Activation

  1. Support the planning and execution of NightDragon’s flagship events and programming
  2. Coordinate logistics, guest list identification/tracking and stakeholder engagement
  3. Support scheduling and coordination across the firm to ensure cross-functional engagements move forward efficiently
  4. Optimize the use of network management tools and processes to improve visibility, connectivity, and follow-through across relationships
