Deepening NightDragon Investor Relationships

Courtney Dombek NightDragon

Growing up close to Silicon Valley, venture capital has always held a certain allure in my mind. What’s not to love about looking at the latest cutting-edge technology and helping shape the businesses of the future?

I have a long-held passion for client service, something that first began with an early job at 15 years old selling shoes at Nordstrom and that carried me across nearly 20 years on Wall Street. I developed the skill set further in institutional equity sales at boutique investment banks, then capital raising and investor relations in-house at an investment manager and then for a placement agent. In the last 10 years, I have raised assets for public and private equity, real estate and venture funds.

When I first met NightDragon, I knew the firm was something special. NightDragon sits at the perfect intersection of innovation, global security and personal safety. The meaningful impact of NightDragon’s portfolio companies combined with the strategic operational value of the team truly put NightDragon in a class all its own in my mind. What’s more, the partners’ emphasis on diversity, inclusion and wellness speaks to a personal passion and one that is important for the industry at large.

I am honored and excited to now join the NightDragon team as Principal, Investor Relations, bringing my 20+ years of experience in capital raising and investor relations to bear for the team. I look forward to elevating the investor experience at NightDragon and working alongside the magnetic and dynamic leadership of Dave, Ken, Morgan and Amy, as well as the talented marketing, government and business development professionals across the team.

NightDragon continues to expand its presence in the market, building out its investment team with the addition of former Warburg Pincus and Goldman Sachs leader Josiah Hsiung, while looking to expand internationally in the future. I am lucky to join the team at such a period of growth and drive deeper institutional relationships.

I look forward to making connections across the NightDragon Network in the coming weeks and months. I live in San Francisco with my husband and two children. Napa is our home away from home, and my free time is spent wakeboarding, snowboarding, doing hot yoga and Barry’s classes (not necessarily in that order). I graduated from UC Davis with high honors in Economics and International Relations and hold an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley where I was recognized as a “Community Fellow.”
