Josiah Hsiung brings a decade of experience advising, investing, and operating high-growth technology companies. Most recently, Josiah was at Instacart, where he helped build the business operations and strategic finance teams and saw the company grow from startup to pre-IPO. Prior to Instacart, Josiah was an investment professional at Warburg Pincus and Vector Capital, where he focused on growth equity investments in enterprise software and served as a board observer for technology companies including Duetto, CollabNet/VersionOne, Corel, and FacilitySource. Josiah began his career as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs advising technology companies in Silicon Valley.

Josiah graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, receiving a B.A. in Economics from the Wharton School and a B.A. in Philosophy from the College of Arts and Sciences. He was a Joseph Wharton Scholar and Benjamin Franklin Scholar and was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Sigma Tau. In his spare time, he enjoys staying active — whether it’s backpacking abroad, surfing in Los Angeles, snowboarding in Tahoe, or bouldering at his local gym.
